Learning in Class Campion

Children in Class Campion learn and progress in a variety of exciting ways.

This is what learning in Campion looks like:

Directed activities:

Directed Activities consisted of a range of activities, carefully planned out, which are adult let. These activities meet the needs of the children in our class whilst following the Year 1 Curriculum. Children will participate in whole class or group activities, being supported by a member of staff, in various ways, throughout.

Enhanced Provision:

Enhanced provision involves the use of extra materials and resources provided to the children to enable ‘learning through play’ to become more focused.

This helps us to build on the observations that we have made while watching children play creatively in the provision areas. We provide special themes and activities part of enhanced provision.

We use this as a way to tailor and bolster the children’s independent learning techniques, and help students to broaden their horizons.

Continuous Provision

Continuous provision refers to the resources provided in our classroom for children to interact with creatively, which they have access to every day. This encourages the children to learn completely independently.

The continuous provision our classroom inspires the children to be active learners, make independent choices, and foster their innate curiosity to explore and play. Children have opportunities for autonomy and are able to make their own choices about what they would like to learn and what they would like to return to.

Home Learning

Children have all been given individual passwords to access Mathletics and Purple Mash from home, this is a really useful online learning tool to support your child’s learning from home.
